Privacy Policy

When you join the Crescend waitlist, we collect:

• your email address;
• the date and time you joined the waitlist; and
• a record of your consent to receive early-access and occasional product update emails from Crescend, including the version of the consent notice you agreed to.

We may also receive limited technical information that is ordinarily generated when you access a website, where this is provided by the services used to host and operate the website.

We use your waitlist information to:

• manage the Crescend waitlist;
• contact you about early access to Crescend;
• send you occasional updates about Crescend where you have consented to receive them;
• respond to questions or privacy requests; and
• maintain the security and operation of the website.

We will not use your waitlist email for unrelated marketing without an appropriate legal basis.

Where you choose to receive Crescend early-access and product update emails, we rely on your consent.

Joining the mailing list is voluntary. The consent checkbox is not selected by default, and you choose whether to provide your consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before you withdrew it.

We use third-party technology providers to operate Crescend's website and waitlist. These currently include Supabase, which provides database infrastructure used to store waitlist information, and Vercel, which provides infrastructure used to host and deliver the Crescend website.

These providers may process information on our behalf in accordance with their applicable terms and data-protection arrangements.

If we introduce an email delivery provider to send Crescend waitlist communications, we will update this Privacy Policy as appropriate.

We keep your waitlist information until you withdraw your consent or until it is no longer needed for the Crescend waitlist and launch communications.

After that, we will delete or anonymise the information unless we are required to retain particular information for legal or legitimate administrative reasons.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the Crescend website, database and communications, where necessary for them to provide those services.

We may also disclose information where required by law or where reasonably necessary to protect our legal rights or the security of our services.

Some service providers may process information outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where applicable, we rely on the safeguards provided by those service providers and applicable data-protection law for international transfers of personal data.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights concerning your personal data, including the right to:

• request access to your personal data;
• ask us to correct inaccurate information;
• ask us to delete your personal data;
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• request portability of certain information; and
• withdraw your consent at any time where we rely on consent.

To exercise a privacy right or ask us to remove you from the Crescend waitlist, contact team@crescend.app.

You also have the right to make a complaint to the Data Protection Commission (DPC) in Ireland if you believe your personal data has been processed in breach of data-protection law.

You can withdraw your consent to Crescend marketing and update emails at any time.

Where our emails contain an unsubscribe link, you can use that link. You can also contact team@crescend.app and ask us to stop sending you these communications.

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we hold. However, no method of storing or transmitting information electronically can guarantee absolute security.

Crescend is still being developed, so the ways we process personal information may change as the service develops.

We may update this Privacy Policy when our practices, service providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be available on this page, with the date of the most recent update shown at the top.
